Exercise To Strenthen The Hip & Relieve Pain

How exercise can help your hips, and moves you need to try.

Exercise is one of the best things you can do to help your hips. Exercise helps maintain range of motion and strengthens the muscles that support your hips. Stretching the muscles and tendons that surround the joint also can help ease pain from some hip problems and reduce the risk of some injuries.

The exercises shown are simple yet effective and can be done in the comfort of your own home.

You do not have to do all of them consecutively, choose perhaps three and try a short routine with those exercises.

Try to do five repetitions (on each side where applicable), attempt just one st of each exercise in the first week, completing the routine three times in that week if possible.

Build up the repetitions, maybe adding two repetitions (each side where applicable) in the second week and then three repetitions in the third week.

Once you reach ten repetitions (each side where applicable), choose another exercise and add this in. Remember to start this new exercise with a lower number of repetitions and build it up over two or three weeks.
